Our mandate
House of Arts Association is dedicated to empowering artists and young people as catalysts for community development. We aim to harness the transformative power of artistic expression, creativity, and youth engagement to foster vibrant, inclusive, and resilient communities.
How we work
Our mandate is built on five commitments that carry through every program, festival and campaign.
Commitment 01
We provide platforms and opportunities for artists and young people to express themselves creatively. By promoting artistic endeavours, we enhance cultural richness and facilitate dialogue around important community issues.
Commitment 02
We focus on equipping youth and artists with essential skills through workshops, training, and mentoring programs, preparing them to tackle social challenges and thrive in their chosen fields.
Commitment 03
We engage local communities in participatory processes, encouraging collaboration and dialogue to ensure that projects reflect community needs and aspirations. This fosters a sense of ownership and pride among community members.
Commitment 04
Through art and creativity, we address social issues, raise awareness, and advocate for justice and equity, empowering young people to become change-makers in their communities.
Commitment 05
We establish inclusive and safe environments where youth and artists can gather, share ideas, and collaborate without fear of judgement, fostering personal growth and community connection.
